Lauren's journey continued with academic excellence, earning her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington. Balancing her studies with a demanding career as a critical care nurse, Lauren exemplifies resilience and commitment. Drawing from her background in high-pressure medical environments, Lauren seamlessly transitioned into the realm of neurosurgery as a nurse practitioner for the renowned Dr. Abdul Baker MD, FAANS, FACS functioning as an integral part of the team in both the operating room and clinical settings. We are excited and humbled to be collaborating with Dr. Chase Derrick who is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon through the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Derrick has continuously excelled in academics and practice--graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas and continuing onto medical school where he won the Gold Humanism Award and prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society induction at Texas Tech University. Dr. D has extensive training and experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery through one of the most rigorous integrated plastic surgery residencies in the country. Dr. Derrick is continuously learning and evolving to be the best surgeon for his patients and absolutely loves his job.
